Economics and the parties

The adminsitration is having a hard time with economics because of the current climate.  Obama inherited a fiscal problem and does not want to repair it at the expense of ordinary working people.  We know tough decisions have to be made to control spending and reducing the deficit but it is always the poor that suffer the most.  For example, in the recent mortage debacle, forclosures have increased nationwide, however, current reports indicate that home sales of houses over $500,000 have increased.  When will the rich begin to sacrifice for the good of the country?
